Empowering Healthcare Innovations

Jetty van Ginkel, PhD
ABOUT ME
Throughout my professional journey, I’ve been fortunate to engage with technical innovations in healthcare across a spectrum of roles.
From my role as engineer and scientist I know what it is like to dive deep into difficult topics, to understand a technology in every detail, to generate new knowledge when existing knowledge doesn’t offer you a solution and to convert this knowledge into new inventions.
As a business development manager I understand how you can convert knowledge and inventions into impact, the importance of a good business model to achieve this, what financing options are available for your innovation, what role intellectual property can play in this, how you protect it and how to make the right agreements with your partners in the innovation process.
I have been able to put my knowledge into practice as an entrepreneur, experience how effective a good network is and gain more understanding for the insecurity, challenges and urgency that you experience as a (starting) entrepreneur.
My experience in building and expanding public-private partnerships has taught me to leverage collaborative efforts between government entities, private organizations, and research institutions to advance healthcare initiatives. This involvement has deepened my understanding of the nuanced dynamics inherent in such partnerships, allowing me to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and forge mutually beneficial relationships.
Because I love to learn, over the past years I have extended this knowledge and experience with principles from disciplines such as human-centered design, theory of change, and risk management, which I have found useful for healthcare innovations.
I look forward to sharing my experience and insights to help you take your innovation further!
